The Strathcona County RCMP, Enforcement Services and Victim Services host events throughout the year to engage the community and share safety tips.
Building Bridges is a community event focused on building bridges of trust between individuals impacted by family violence, specialized services, and the RCMP. The Strathcona County RCMP, A Safe Place, and the Saffron Centre will discuss their roles in supporting survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence and fostering a stronger network of care. At the event, each agency will provide a brief presentation on their process for supporting survivors, followed by a group discussion on current collaborative efforts and successes, barriers to providing trauma informed care, and the future of collaboration between specialized agencies.
Things to note:• Age recommendation is 16+ • Light refreshments will be provided • Staff from Saffron will be present to provide emotional support.
