Open house sessions provide an opportunity for individuals, groups and organizations to make presentations to the Priorities Committee on topics within the County’s jurisdiction. 

Upcoming open house sessions

Open house sessions will be held at 3 p.m. at every regular Priorities Committee meeting:

  • January 20, 2026
  • February 17, 2026
  • April 7, 2026
  • May 5, 2026
  • June 2, 2026

Presenting at an open house session

To make a presentation you must register before 4 p.m. the day before the Priorities Committee meeting by contacting the Legislative Officer at LegislativeOfficer@strathcona.ca or at 780-464-8014. Up to six presentations are scheduled for each Open House session, so early registration is encouraged.

If signing up to present, please note the following:

  • Presentations are limited to a maximum of five minutes.
  • The Priorities Committee may ask questions and engage in discussion following each presentation.
  • Presenters may only address the same topic once in a given year.
  • Presentations may include hard copy or electronic materials, and all materials must be provided before 4 p.m. the day before the meeting.
  • Political parties, political representatives and unions may not make public presentations.
  • Names and topics of speakers for an open house are included in the meeting minutes and as part of the meeting webcast. 
  • Personal information is collected under the authority of section 4(c) of the Protection of Privacy Act and will be used for purposes of managing and administering public hearings, public presentations and open house presentations.
