The purpose of the Mayor's Executive Committee is to review and manage agendas for upcoming Council and Priorities Committee meetings. The Mayor's Executive Committee is established by Strathcona County Bylaw 8-2019 (1.5 MB) .

Elected Official members

The Elected Official members of the Mayor's Executive Committee are the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Acting Mayor. The  2025-2029 Deputy Mayor / Acting Mayor Schedule (116.2 KB) was approved by Council on October 30, 2025. 

Meetings

The Mayor's Executive Committee meets virtually on Monday as required. In the event that a Monday is a statutory holiday, the committee meets on the Friday prior. 

Members of the public may attend meetings and observe. At times, there may be portions of a meeting that are private in accordance with the Access to Information Act.
