Weekend itineraries: enjoy outdoor shopping and dining

Several local businesses have banded together to put on an outdoor market this weekend! This Small Business Market is taking place on Sunday from 11 am until 3 pm in the parking lot at 48 Brentwood Blvd in Sherwood Park. Stop by and help support local businesses such as K-Lee Boutique, Key Lime Athletic Wear, Sherwood Park Bookworm, and more!

Restaurant patio map

As part of the Government of Alberta’s Open for Summer strategy, patios opened this week, so which one are you heading to this weekend? If you’re wondering which restaurants have a patio, we have a handy dandy map for you. A new feature of the business directory shows which restaurants have a patio space; great information for when you can’t decide where to go. Take your pick from whatever cuisine you’re craving, or plan on hitting up all of them this weekend! It might be a tough job, but we believe in you 😉. Head over to the business directory to see a full sized version of the map!

Exterior of Sluggo's Free Kick

Another part of the Open for Summer strategy is that outdoor physical and recreation activities for up to 10 distanced people are allowed again. Sluggo’s Free Kick in Sherwood Park specializes in soccer and rugby and has been around since 2008. Now’s the time to pick up the equipment you need to hit the field this weekend, or head in to find out more about proper equipment from the student athlete staff they have.

Please ensure that you are adhering to all public health mandates in place, including wearing a mask and physical distancing.

Enjoy the weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County!
