Weekend itineraries: brave colder weather

Cold temperatures can't hold us down

Weekend itineraries: brave colder weather

This weekend the weather is supposed to get a little colder, but don’t let that stop you from heading outside; this is Canada after all! A great walk to get some fresh air and (hopefully) sunshine is at the Strathcona Science Provincial Park where you will get great views of Edmonton’s skyline and the river. Dogs are allowed on this path, but make sure they’re on a leash. Wear proper footwear if you decide to go as it might be a bit icy from the recent weather we've had.

Outside of Oscars Pub

After you’ve worked up an appetite at the Science Park (or whenever you feel like it, we won’t judge how often you order from them) head over to pick up some curbside pickup from Oscars Pub. This British style pub has been serving Sherwood Park for over 25 years, so you know they have great pub food! Until restaurants open back up for dining, you can still have that warm and friendly atmosphere and support local by getting some takeaway. Give them a call today.

Boy having haircut wearing mask

With the changes in restrictions announced by the provincial government last week, you can get your hair cut this weekend! If you’re like me and your hair dresser is booked solid for weeks, take a look at our business directory for a whole list of personal care services in Strathcona County and maybe you’ll find a place with an opening. You can filter the business directory by other services to find barbershops, hair salons, and even massage parlours.

Please ensure that you are adhering to all public health mandates in place, including the masking bylaw and physical distancing.

Enjoy the weekend in Strathcona County!
