The Foxboro and area Traffic Review focused on improving vehicle speeds and pedestrian safety in Foxboro, Foxhaven, Regency Park, and The Ridge. Resident input, school traffic assessments, and current data shaped a final road plan (466.5Â KB) presented to Council on September 12, 2023. A full project report is available here (4.5Â MB) .
The plan balanced safety, accessibility, and modern design standards. Improvements will be constructed during neighbourhood rehabilitation in 2025 and 2026. Learn more about 2025 construction here.
During the review, area residents shared their thoughts on preliminary traffic management and safety recommendations for physical changes to Ridgemont Way, Regency Drive (east of Ridgemont Way), Foxboro Drive and Foxhaven Drive.
School traffic safety partnershipÂ
After École Claudette-et-Denis-Tardif opens, an updated traffic management plan will be developed. The Strathcona County School Traffic Safety Partnership (STSP) will work closely with school administrators, student transportation, and RCMP and Enforcement Services to communicate the plan to parents at the school
Once the new school opens, reassessments will be conducted to ensure that the roads are operating as expected. This includes monitoring and potential adjustments to signalized intersections at the entrances to the neighbourhoods.
