About Luke Jansen Soundstage:Â
Luke Jansen was an employee of Strathcona County at the time of his passing in 2017 at 22 years old. Luke worked for Economic Development and Tourism on projects which included Savour Strathcona and later with Legislative and Legal Services during the municipal election. The musical stage at Savour Strathcona was dedicated to his memory and became known as the Luke Jansen Soundstage in 2018.Â
About the event
Savour is Strathcona County’s annual celebration of local flavour, creativity, and community. This one-day festival brings together independent restaurants, food trucks, brewers, winemakers, cidermakers, distillers, artists, and musicians for an afternoon full of incredible food and local talent. This year, Festival Lane transforms into an open-air marketplace with the farmers' market, presented in partnership with the Sherwood Park Farmers’ Market and other Strathcona Sunny Girl Markets.Â
With plenty of vendors and performers, there's something to discover around every corner. Whether you're here to snack your way through the county's top culinary talent, sip on small-batch drinks, find local art, or simply soak up the atmosphere — this is where it all comes together.Â
Where everything is located:Â
- Inside the Agora: Sample sized bites from local restaurants and culinary creators.Â
- Gallery@501 (also inside the Agora): Shop one-of-a-kind items at our curated art market featuring local artists and makers.Â
- East Plaza: Chill out in our seating area, sip on something refreshing from The Local Lemon Food Truck and enjoy live music at the Luke Jansen Soundstage. You’ll also find local liquor vendors set up nearby for a Sunday afternoon pick me up.
- Festival Lane: Wander through the open-air farmers’ market on Festival Lane, pick up fresh finds from local growers and makers, and explore a variety of food trucks with something for everyone.
Whether you’re a foodie, a music lover, an art enthusiast, or just out for a good time with friends and family, Savour is a must-do event that brings the best of Strathcona County together in one delicious place!Â
