As part of the Strathcona County Trails Strategy, multi-use trails were identified as being an essential outdoor recreational amenity. These paved linkages provide residents with opportunities to actively connect to surrounding neighbourhoods and experience a greater quality of life. 

Construction of the Eastgate Lake Trail is scheduled to begin July 2020.
