Weekend itineraries: warmer weather arrives!

This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County

Feb. 20, 2025 | Tourism

Riverside Nature Area is a beautiful spot for a pleasant stroll sometime this weekend. It's a great place to enjoy nature with a trail that runs alongside the North Saskatchewan River. The loop is 5.5 km altogether, and it’s an easy walk for any age. This will also be the location of the new footbridge that will allow people to cross the river - check out its location before it goes up.

Lunch ramen from The Koi

The Koi opened its doors on Wye Road last year; have you tried it yet? Their menu includes sashimi, nigiri, tatakis, BBQ, and skewers, among a whole lot more. Check out their Facebook page for their menu and theirs hours. Stop by and enjoy them this weekend.

The Sherwood Park Bookworm

Did you know that Sherwood Park has a locally owned independent used bookstore? The Sherwood Park Bookworm is in the same parking lot as The Koi and is a great place to stop by to fill your shelves with some new (to you) reads. This is also a great place to stop by if you're looking to recycle your old books. Reach out to set up an appointment.
