Weekend itineraries: Spooky season continues
This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County

Spooky season continues with the new Haunted Trail Tour at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre. Happening on October 18 and 25, the tour will take participants through a half-hour trail walk with local legends told by storytellers and a few surprises along the way. This is a great way to get out and enjoy the Halloween season, but for those who are 12 and up. Get your tickets now.
Cooler weather means cozy temperatures, and there’s no better way to get cozy than with a nice hot drink and warm food. Malina Ukrainian Bakery has plenty of pastries, such as sweet plushka (soft sugar cookies), savoury pyrizhky (buns with different filling options) and frozen food to take home and enjoy. A cool feature about their location is that they have a window looking in at Sherwood Motorcars, so you can check out the high-end cars as you enjoy your treats. Enjoy them this weekend!
New boutique alert! Fem Haven Boutique moved into a brick-and-mortar location a few months ago, and they’re celebrating their grand opening tomorrow! Sales are taking place until the end of the day tomorrow, so it’s a great reason to stop by and check it out. This women’s fashion boutique is filled with Canadian-only products and has extended sizes to make sure that everyone can find something they’re looking for. Stop by their location on Kaska Road and treat yourself to some new wardrobe pieces.
