Weekend itineraries: marching into March

Strathcona Wilderness Centre is receiving support from the @NordiqCanada Equity Initiative, funded by Sport Canada’s Community Sport for All Initiative. That means they’re having a free event this weekend for all ages and abilities to try out cross-country skiing, biathlon, ski jumping, and Nordic combined. Head out to the Wilderness Centre between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday to check it out!

Artwork on the wall at Special Noodle House

Even though the weather is (FINALLY) warming up, you don’t need cold weather to enjoy a nice hot bowl of pho. Stop by Special Noodle House in Summerwood Center just off Clover Bar Road and Lakeland Drive to enjoy their menu. This local Vietnamese cuisine option is a great choice when supporting businesses in our community. The handpainted artwork they have on the wall is also a bonus to check out! Check out their menu online and start picking what dish you’re going to enjoy this weekend

A person shopping at the Sherwood Park Farmers Market

Did you know that the Sherwood Park Farmers Market has a new location? They've moved from the Community Centre Agora and can be found in a retail spot in Emerald Hills. This accredited farmers market is open year-round, so if you missed it this week, you can stop by next week. There are only about ten more weeks until they move to their outdoor space for the warmer months! Don’t worry about finding them in Emerald Hills; you’ll see the decals on the window when you arrive.
