Weekend itineraries: August slipped away

Experience Alberta is putting on another roadside stand tour this weekend, but this one is focused on vendors and stops north of Highway 16. Head out on the driving tour and stop by the 11 participating locations. You can stock up on local beef, locally grown vegetables, local honey, and more from places like Meat Me At Codiak, Fellowship Farms, Elk Island Retreat, and others. Average Joe's sports bar patio

It’s Labour Day this weekend, and the weather is looking beautiful! The clock is ticking on patio season as we head into Autumn, so enjoy one this weekend. Average Joe's has a great outdoor space for you to enjoy – sitting around the fire table or playing bean bag. Head over to this local favourite before the weather starts to get colder.

Exterior of Charlie's Place

It’s likely the last hot long weekend we’ll have this year, which means one thing – barbecuing! If you haven’t stocked up on all the meat you want, head to Charlie's and order through a local company. They also do Thursday dinner specials with pulled pork and/or brisket, buns, and slaw. Head over to their Facebook page and reserve tonight’s dinner.
