Weekend itineraries: it feels like summer

This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County

Weekend itineraries: it feels like summer

Summer is truly on its way with the weather we’ve been having lately, and another sure sign is that spray decks and parks are now open! There’s a handy list of all the ones that are available in our municipality, so planning to visit one has never been easier. Unfortunately, not all are open yet, so check the webpage before heading over to enjoy.

Lunch at Flirty Bird

Flirty Bird is now open in Sherwood Park! This restaurant specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken and lets you pick your spice levels. From no heat to scorching hot, you can challenge yourself (or others!) to how hot you can go. Head over to Baseline Village and try them out this weekend. Good luck to your taste buds! 😉

Comic books for sale at Mythic Comics

Support local for your comic book needs! Mythic Comics and Collectibles opened in February and has  been full steam ahead on what it offers everyone. New comics hit the shelves every Wednesday, and they have event nights each week – like Dungeons and Dragons leagues on Thursdays. Check their social media for more information, or stop by to check out this locally-owned shop.

If you’re looking for other things to do this weekend, head over to our tourism pages for more suggestions of ways to support local and find your adventure in Strathcona County.
