Weekend itineraries: September has arrived

This Sunday is the 3rd Roadside Stand Tour in Strathcona County. This exciting event is like a farmers’ market – but you get to see more of the rural area! Head out on the driving tour and stop by the 9 locations that are participating. You’ll be able to stock up on local beef, delicious toppings like mustard, jams, and jellies, and even more. Malina Bakery goods on display

There’s a new bakery that just opened in Sherwood Park – have you tried it out yet? Malina Ukrainian Bakery has opened a location on Buckingham Drive and they have a menu full of Ukrainian foods for you to try out. Choose from all-day breakfast or other great things like borcht and deruny (potato pancakes). Don’t worry, if you have trouble narrowing things down, they offer combos. Stop by this new location this weekend and welcome Malina Bakery to Sherwood Park!

Interior of Kreative Kustoms

It was Kreative Kustom’s anniversary this week! This local gift shop and boutique has been open for 7 years – make sure to stop by and congratulate them. They have a ton of great items on hand, and proudly display the work of more than a hundred Canadian artisans. If you are ever looking for something unique, this is a great place to look. Pssst… they’re having their last parking lot pop-up of the year next week. Stop by and shop all the vendors that are participating on Thursday and enjoy some live music and delicious food.
