Weekend itineraries: let the sun shine

With the snow officially gone (fingers crossed for good), it’s time to dig out those skateboards and shred some sick rails. Make sure to stop by the Ardrossan skate park that opened last year and look at the incredible artwork designed in collaboration with Strathcona County youth. Ride the concrete wave this weekend in either Sherwood Park or Strathcona County 🤙.

Food Truck Fridays are officially back, and it’s in the new location this year! Head over to the Sherwood Park Mall every Friday evening until the end of August and try the local food trucks we have here. This week will have Starvin Marvin, Purple Perogy, Curbside, and Casa 12 doce, but double-check the schedule on their Facebook page to see who’s joining in.

Tickled Floral is a local flower shop with a welcoming space full of gifts and local wares. This is a great weekend to stop by their location as they’re having their annual Blooms for the Beach Fundraiser on Sunday. Pick up what you need for your summer gardening and help support the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. Pre-ordering is available online.
