Weekend itineraries: taste local culture
This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County
Festival Place has several live music events from now until the end of the month. The Chamber Music Series has different acts all performing live, and it’s all free! Enjoy listening to a string quartet, baroque trio, and even an orchestra in an in-person setting. You have to call or email Festival Place’s Box Office to reserve tickets. Don’t wait to do so; these series are filling up quickly.
There’s a new bubble tea place in Sherwood Park that is now open at Centre in the Park. Quickly has opened their doors in the Savona Centre, and they’re waiting to serve you. They have a range of bubble tea and bubble smoothie options and a food menu to try out. If you’re lucky enough to get tickets to the chamber music series at Festival Place, head over early so you have time to stop by and try out this new place.
The warmer weather might have you thinking about your spring and summer wardrobe. Don’t worry; there are plenty of clothing stores in Strathcona County that you can stock up. Plato’s Closet is a great option to check out this weekend and pick up a new outfit or two, and since it’s a consignment store, this will have less of a hit to your wallet. Head over to check it out on Kaska Road this weekend.
Be kind and enjoy the weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County!
