Weekend itineraries: enjoy local businesses

If this is the time of year that you start to miss golf, good news! The Golf Den has an indoor simulator, so your swing doesn’t get too rusty over the winter months. Four simulators are available, and there are menu options, including drink selections. You can even book the simulator online! Forget about the snow and ice that’s surrounding us outside and enjoy some time spent at this unique spot found right here in Sherwood Park.

Sausage and pepperoni pizza in a take out box

Just a short trip away from the Golf Den is Roma Pizza and Donair. This place is worth a stop in if you’re on the southeast side of Sherwood Park! They have all the regular pizza toppings you would expect, plus a few unexpected ones. If you’re a fan of donairs, make sure to try the donair pizza; you might just discover your new favourite topping!

Exterior of the Sherwood Park Bookworm

Right next door to Roma Pizza and Donair is definitely a local shop you want to check out – The Sherwood Park Bookworm. This independent used bookstore offers a ton of great fiction and non-fiction books for you to delve into. If you want to forget about the snow and ice outside, get lost in a book. As the sign in their window currently says, between the pages of a book is a lovely place to be, so lose yourself in a new story for yourself this weekend.

Please ensure that you are adhering to all public health mandates in place, including wearing a mask and physical distancing. Be ready to show your vaccination status, medical exemption or a negative, privately-paid COVID-19 test as part of the Restriction Exemption Program.
