As a Customer Service Representative (CSR) at The Pointe, you’ll be the welcoming face and first point of connection for our community. This role is all about creating positive, memorable experiences by helping guests feel informed, supported, and confident the moment they arrive. Whether answering questions, processing transactions, or guiding visitors to the right service or event, CSR’s play a vital role in keeping The Pointe running smoothly and serving as a vibrant hub for agricultural and community programming.
CSR’s provide friendly, knowledgeable support to both internal and external guests by sharing information about the facility, events, and bookings. You’ll manage point‑of‑sale transactions and waivers, assist with registrations, and ensure every guest feels valued and well cared for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interact with guests in person, by telephone, and electronically to provide knowledgeable, timely, and current information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about products, services, and events
- Identify guest needs and present available service options and recommendations throughout all Strathcona County Recreation, Parks and Culture opportunities
- Build relationships with guests and proactively address guest concerns through friendly and courteous interactions
- Assist with answering questions on pricing and booking the facility
- Refer to Facility Booking Representative or Events Supervisor to complete complex casual, block, and event bookings
- Respond promptly and effectively to unexpected or urgent situations such as providing first aid, addressing building emergencies, or assisting with lost individuals such as children
- Follow facility-specific processes for cash handling, deposits, facility bookings, sales, program registrations, point of sale, ticketing, and specialized products and services
Qualifications and Skills:
- A positive, professional attitude with strong communication skills, enabling respectful and engaging interactions with guests, coworkers, and supervisors
- A team‑focused mindset and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, supportive environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing priorities and balance multiple tasks in a dynamic setting
- Self‑motivation and initiative, with the ability to work independently while maintaining excellent service standards
