The purpose of the Strathcona County / City of Fort Saskatchewan Intermunicipal Relations Committee is to enhance the working relationship between the City of Fort Saskatchewan and Strathcona County with respect to issues of common concern and interest.  The Strathcona County / City of Fort Saskatchewan Intermunicipal Relations Committee is established by Strathcona County Bylaw 44-2021 (154.0 KB)

Members

The composition of the Strathcona County / City of Fort Saskatchewan Intermunicipal Affairs Committee consists of the Strathcona County Mayor, Fort Saskatchewan Mayor, Strathcona County Ward 5 Councillor, one Strathcona County Councillor, two Fort Saskatchewan Councillors, Strathcona County Chief Administrative Officer and Fort Saskatchewan Manager.

Elected official members

Terms of the elected officials will end at the Organizational Meeting in 2027, provided they continue to serve as elected officials throughout the term of their appointment.

Meetings

There are four meetings held per calendar year for the Strathcona County / City of Fort Saskatchewan Intermunicipal Relations Committee.

Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings to observe the meeting and discussion carried out by the Strathcona County / City of Fort Saskatchewan Intermunicipal Relations Committee.  However, members of the public may only participate in a meeting of and make representations to the Strathcona County / City of Fort Saskatchewan Intermunicipal Relations Committee in accordance with the Boards and Committees Bylaw.
