Accessible fitness programs to keep you moving

Strathcona County is proud to offer a range of Adult Wellness programs designed to be accessible, lower-impact, lower-intensity, and suitable for the needs of participants who may not feel ready for traditional fitness programming! All classes are led by a certified fitness instructor promoting active living, welcoming all ability levels and tailored to the varying needs in the class.

Remaining active when you have a chronic health condition will lead you to experience many benefits including:

  • Pain management
  • Slowing the progression of your illness
  • Improving joint function, strength and balance

Next Step

This program may be appropriate if you are looking for a more individualized approach or are transitioning from a medically supervised program. 

This program is not eligible for online registration. If you have attended Next Step Individual in the past 6 months, please contact the front desk for class dates and times and to register for the next session! 

These classes require an assessment completed by a Certified Exercise Physiologist prior to registration, to join the waitlist or request additional information please contact us at group.fitness@strathcona.ca
