Strathcona County is proud to offer a range of Adult Wellness programs designed to be accessible, lower-impact, lower-intensity, and suitable for the needs of participants who may not feel ready for traditional fitness programming! All classes are led by a certified fitness instructor promoting active living, welcoming all ability levels and tailored to the varying needs in the class.

In-person stability yoga
A gentle yoga practice that integrates the assistance of a chair for seated and standing poses, to increase flexibility, strength and body awareness.

Virtual stability yoga
This is a live class held virtually through Zoom. You will receive an email with the class link a minimum of 1 hour before class. Participants are encouraged to have a mat and sturdy chair.

This boxing and circuit training program is designed for individuals with chronic conditions, helping you improve strength, mobility, and overall function. Participants are encouraged to bring their own boxing gloves.

This reduced impact class is ideal for people with mobility issues as we focus on improving joint function, strength and cardiovascular fitness. This class is held in our fully accessible warm water pool. Register for deep aqua
