Permit fees
Strathcona County’s Planning and Development Services, Agriculture and Environment branch, issues the following permits:
Livestock Over-limit Permit application ($260 for new, $210 for renewal) If a landowner would like to raise animals above the allowable limits for the property, you must apply for a Livestock Over-Limit Permit. Please contact us for more details.
Apiculture Permit application ($160 for new, $135 for renewal) If you are interested in keeping honey bees on your property, you may need to apply for an Apiculture Permit. Please contact us for more details.
Livestock Event Permit application ($50) Livestock Event Permits (412.1Â KB) are required to support intentional and safe opportunities to experience livestock in urban areas (e.g., a petting zoo). Please contact us for more details.
Firearms Discharge License If you are interested in applying for a Firearms Discharge License, please call 780-464-8080.Â
