During special events throughout the year, Strathcona County Transit provides express shuttle service and extended service from Bethel Transit Terminal. Some shuttles are free and some have a nominal fee to cover a portion of the service costs. 

Canada Day - July 1, 2025

Free shuttle between Bethel Transit Terminal and Broadmoor Lake park will run ever 15 minutes.

  • Bethel Transit Terminal to Broadmoor Lake Park
    First departure: 8:30 a.m.
    Last departure: 11p.m
     
  • Broadmoor Lake Park to Bethel Transit Terminal
    First departure: 8:45 a.m.
    Last departure:11:45 p.m.

Please be at the Broadmoor bus stop no later than 11:45 p.m. Transit will ensure there are sufficient buses to transport all riders back to Bethel terminal after the fireworks.

 

Heritage Festival - August 2 to 4, 2025

Bus service will operate between Bethel Transit Terminal and Borden Park approximately every 15 minutes.

  • Saturday, August 2
    • First bus departs Bethel Transit at 11:45 a.m.
    • Last bus departs Borden Park at 8:45 p.m.
  • Sunday, August 3
    • First bus departs Bethel Transit at 9:45 a.m.
    • Last bus departs Borden Park at 8:45 p.m.
  • Monday, August 4 
    • First bus departs Bethel Transit at 9:45 a.m.
    • Last bus departs Borden Park at 7:45 p.m.

Regular commuter fares apply - pre purchase a ticket or load your Arc card at the Bethel Transit Terminal. 

  • Arc SCT 90 minute commuter ticket - $6.50 per person
  • Arc 24 hour ticket - $13.00 per person
  • Arc card - $5.00 per person per trip
  • Cash fare - $6.50 per person per trip

Shuttle service is typically provided for:

  • Trade Fair at Millennium Place: second week in April
  • Canada Day activities in Sherwood Park
  • Heritage Days: August long weekend
  • New Year's Eve in Sherwood Park: December 31
