Protecting your recreation account information

Your privacy and security are important to us. To help keep your personal information safe, starting in March 2027, front desk staff will ask you to verify your identity before accessing your information or making changes to your recreation account.

You won’t need to verify your identity if you are just scanning your pass to join a class or use the facility.

Be ready to verify your identity
To help us confirm your identity, please:

  • Bring government-issued photo ID when visiting in person, or

  • Email us from the email listed on your recreation account, or

  • Make sure your account information is current so you can answer verification questions if needed.

What you need to do to keep your information safe

Review and update your family/group members on a regular basis.

Make sure your family/group includes only the individuals you want to have access to your recreation information.

You can update your family/group:

  • Using your RecOnline (https://reconline.strathcona.ca) account or

  • By speaking with staff at the front desk

  • Emailing recreationnews@strathcona.ca from the email address listed on your account

Who can access the account information

Any adult listed in the same family/group in our recreation database may access account information for themselves and any members of the group, or make changes to the account.

If a relative or family friend will regularly be bringing your children to programs, consider adding them to your family/group.

Questions?

If you have questions about account verification or authorized contacts, please speak with our front desk staff. We're happy to help ensure your account information is accurate and secure.
