Strathcona County values community-driven initiatives and events that promote connectedness and wellbeing for residents. Council Community Funding provides annual funds for Elected Officials to support projects that align with these values and benefit the community.

The Community Funding: Benefit and Sponsorship Policy (122.5 KB) establishes criteria for how funds are allocated and distributed. It sets out:

3. Complete the appropriate sections
4. Submit your application and required attachments as set out on the form

Application deadline

Benefit funding applications are considered quarterly. The application form contains the key dates applicants need to be aware of. For applications to be considered by Council at the July 22, 2025, Council meeting, applications must be received no later than June 23, 2025. 

Sponsorship funding requests will be considered by Council as they are received.
