The purpose of the Strathcona County / Town of Bruderheim Intermunicipal Relations Committee is to enhance the working relationship between the Town of Bruderheim and Strathcona County with respect to issues of common concern and interest. Members

The composition of the Strathcona County / Town of Bruderheim Intermunicipal Relations Committee consists of the Strathcona County Mayor, Town of Bruderheim Mayor, two Strathcona County Councillors, two Town of Bruderheim Councillors, and both Strathcona County and Town of Bruderheim Chief Administrative Officers.

Elected official members

Strathcona County Council appoints the Strathcona County Mayor and two Strathcona County Councillors to the Strathcona County / Town of Bruderheim Intermunicipal Relations Committee. They serve at the pleasure of Strathcona County Council for terms of up to four years. The Town of Bruderheim Mayor and two Town of Bruderheim Councillors that are members of the Committee are appointed by the Town of Bruderheim Council and they serve at the pleasure of the Town of Bruderheim Council for terms of up to four years.

*The terms of the elected officials commenced October 30, 2025 and will end at the Organizational Meeting in 2027, provided they continue to serve as elected officials throughout the term of their appointment.

Meetings

There are up to two meetings held per calendar year for the Strathcona County / Town of Bruderheim Intermunicipal Relations Committee.

Committee meetings are hosted by the municipality of the person that is chair of such meeting.

Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings to observe the meeting and discussion carried out by the Strathcona County / Town of Bruderheim Intermunicipal Relations Committee. However, members of the public may only participate in a meeting of and make representation to the Strathcona County / Town of Bruderheim Intermunicipal Relations Committee in accordance with the Boards and Committees Bylaw.
