Project history:

Gilmore Park, located in Glen Allen, has undergone a revitalization thanks to the hard work of the Gilmore Park Community League. This group partnered with Strathcona County through the Community Partnership Process to maximize county resources, information and experience.

Phase II of this project is now complete with the construction of the trail, berm, and additional landscaping. New park amenities also include:  

• new playground
• an additional disc swing and toddler climbing zone
• gazebo
• seating
• garbage receptacles
• tree plantings
• interpretive signage
