Community hall reopening
Some community halls are opening, effective July 15. Please contact the specific community hall association operator for details and availability.
For safe use, these community operated venues are required to follow Alberta Health Services’ direction. Occupancy limits are reduced to meet physical distancing requirements.
A.J. Ottewell Community Centre is operated by the Art Society of Strathcona County. The hall is located at 590 Broadmoor Boulevard, Sherwood Park.

Some of the centre amenities include:
- wheelchair accessible
- kitchen with stove and fridge
- smoke free environment
The building is 3523 square feet with seating for 80 and a paved parking lot for 75 vehicles. No amplified music is permitted.
Will there be alcohol at your function?
Functions with alcohol are required to purchase Host Liquor Liability insurance in the amount of $2 million. Renters are required to name both the Art Society of Strathcona County and Strathcona County as Additional Named Insureds on their Certificate of Insurance.

The Art Society of Strathcona County plans, administers and offers a number of community-based programs and special events. These include art classes, art shows and sale, special guest speakers, monthly meetings and workshops.
