The Alberta Government is leading several roadway improvements on Highway 14 to maintain safety on this divided highway.

Construction will take place from May to November 2026 with potential to carry over to 2027.

Description of work 

South Cooking Lake Road and Highway 824 intersection improvements

Upgrade acceleration and deceleration lanes.

Range Road 223 intersection improvements

Realignment of intersection with upgraded acceleration and deceleration lanes.

Northside Service Road between Range Road 224 and 225

Upgrade acceleration and deceleration lanes.

Range Road 224, 225, 231 and 232 intersection improvements

Upgrade acceleration and deceleration lanes and median acceleration lanes.

Highway 21 overpass (over Highway 14)

Rehabilitation of centre concrete median.

Bridge repairs including resurfacing the bridge and approaches.

The province is also repaving and rehabilitating culverts along Highway 14 from Anthony Henday Drive to Highway 824. More information available on the Government of Alberta's major projects website.
