Counselling Services


Walk-in Counselling Sessions

Family and Community Services is offering professional walk-in counselling sessions. No appointment is needed for this "pay what you can afford" service, provided by credentialed counsellors, volunteers and graduate students.

Hours are:

Monday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (last counselling session offered at 2 p.m.) 

Tuesday and Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (last counselling session offered at 6 p.m.)

What is the cost?

Counselling fees are based on,"pay what you can afford", within the range of no cost to $90/session. (2017 Counselling Fee Schedule)

What are some reasons for accessing counselling services?

Our qualified professional counsellors offer encouragement, identify strengths, resources and ideas for change for a variety of reasons that might bring you in:

  • Family conflict

  • Anxiety

  • Stress management

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Isolation/Loneliness

  • Divorce or separation

  • Low self-esteem

  • Grief and loss 

  • Family Violence/Abuse

  • Financial Stress

  • A sudden change

  • A stressful event

  • A loss of confidence

Adult Groups

Our Adult groups are now being offered. The Men's Group is on Tuesdays, the Adult Group is on Wednesdays, and the Women's Group is on Thursdays, 6:30 - 8 p.m. All are welcome. No pre-registration is required. The groups are free. Adult Groups

These services will be expanding overtime. Please watch for updates.


If you are a certified counsellor and are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact us. Practicum experience is also available for counselling and social work practicum students.
