Pick-up time
When booking a trip, the Accessible Transit  dispatcher will assign a pick-up time. Please remember this pick-up time is a 30-minute window. The bus may arrive 15 minutes earlier or up to 15 minutes later than the time you were given. Therefore, please be ready to board the bus 15 minutes prior to your pick-up time.

How to book a trip
Call 780-449-9680 at least two working days in advance. If you wish to travel on Monday, call us before 4 p.m. on Thursday.  Accessible Transit dispatch office hours are Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The office is closed on holidays.

We recommend you book your trip as early as possible. Be sure to note holidays and book ahead accordingly.

How to cancel a trip
If you need to cancel your trip, please call 780-449-9680. Cancellations should be done 24 hours before your trip if at all possible.

What to do if your appointment is taking longer than expected
Call our dispatch team at least half an hour before your confirmed pick-up time to advise that you will not be ready for the scheduled time. Adjustments will be made if possible.

Cancelling a trip or notifying us that you will not be ready for a scheduled pick-up will keep our costs down by eliminating trips that are not required and possibly enable us to book other people in a more favourable time frame.

Where to buy Accessible Transit tickets
Sheets of tickets can be purchased at:

  • Sherwood Park Transit Centre, corner of Ordze Road and Fir Street, Sherwood Park.

Accessible Transit drivers cannot:
Assist passengers to carry groceries or parcels. Please limit items to what you can hold and carry yourself.

Lift passengers out of or into wheelchairs or scooters. If you require this type of assistance, you must arrange for an attendant to accompany you.

We apply the one-step rule
For safety purposes the driver is not required to negotiate a wheelchair more than one step.
