Weekend itineraries: hanging on to summer

Did you know a fly-in and classic car show is happening at the Josephburg Airport on Saturday? You can catch their arrival around 11:00 and stay until they head to the next place around 2:30! The Wings & Wheels air tour has planes and classic cars starting at Rocky Mountain House and stopping in Josephburg before continuing to the Villeneuve Airport. The Josephburg Agricultural Society will be frying up smokies for lunch, so bring your wallet to help support them (cash only).

The Other Place by La Patrona opened their new patio in June – have you checked it out yet? This restaurant also has live music every weekend, with Latin Night on Saturdays. Dancing is encouraged! They have tacos on their menu that are hard to say no to, but do yourself a favour and try out a flatbread pizza. You won’t regret it! Check their social media for more live entertainment nights, and check them out this weekend.

Wholly Handmade is back in the Community Centre Agora this weekend! This craft show comprises only handmade products and has more than 125 participants – it’s a great way to support local artisans! It runs both Saturday and Sunday, but you might want to go early to grab a parking spot. It’s one of the most popular markets in the area.
