Purchase tax certificates

The fee for service – to purchase tax certificates – will be out of service from 3:30 p.m. June 30 – July 7 in order for the tax department to process payments and penalties.

A Tax Certificate is a legal document from Strathcona County indicating the financial status of taxes for a particular property. 

The certificate indicates whether taxes for a specific property are paid, in arrears, or paid via Strathcona County's monthly instalment plan. 

Tax Certificates may be required by law firms or financial institutions when a property is being sold, refinanced or as a verification of paid taxes. 

Tax Certificates cost $40 each and may be purchased online with VISA or Mastercard.
