If you are a stickler for accuracy, attention to the details, and want to work for one of the best HR departments, this job is for you.  Your administrative experience, combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills, will be used to provide administrative support to our Senior HR Business Advisors, department clients and the general public.  Your proficient computer skills will enable you to create and maintain a variety of correspondence, tracking and reporting systems.  In addition, your experience and skills package will enhance your contribution to various project and event committees. 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Assisting with all aspects of HR administration including workflow processes relating to recruitment, job evaluation, and administrative changes to employee records using the HRIS system.
  • Preparing a variety of human resources correspondence.
  • Creating and maintaining reporting systems to track a variety of Human Resource activities, including creating and maintaining organizational charts.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma along with five years of progressively responsible administrative experience in Human Resources.  Municipal experience is an asset. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service focus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, human resources information systems and electronic document management systems.
  • Experience in posting information on e-job boards and intranet websites.
  • Innovation and creativity skills to advance workflow processes and various HR related projects as assigned.

The annual salary range is $39,749 - $49,686, working 35 hours per week.
