In 2021, Bethel Way will be extended from the Bison Way roundabout to Lakeland Drive. This project will improve access for emergency services and support traffic growth in the area.

This project has been funded in Partnership with the Government of Alberta’s Municipal Stimulus Program.

Construction is currently underway and expected to be complete by September 2021, weather dependent.

Construction includes:

  • New road construction of undeveloped land, including sidewalks and street lighting
  • Underground drainage and utility installation
  • Intersection improvements at Lakeland Drive, including removal of the concrete island and conversion to a four-way intersection

What to expect:

  • Minimal traffic restrictions will be required for most of the new road construction.
  • Lane closures will be required during intersection improvements at Lakeland Drive
  • Please adhere to all traffic and construction signage
