A woman and man are shown holding flags while riding horses, with a clear blue sky in the background. Both are wearing traditional red RCMP uniforms.

On May 23, 2023 the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will mark its 150th anniversary of service to the public and security of our country. In recognition of the 150-year milestone, Strathcona County is hosting two RCMP Musical Rides on June 15 and 17.

The musical ride consists of up to 28 riders, who are all police officers. The horses perform intricate formations and drills that require control, timing and coordination.
