WHEREAS Strathcona County is committed to sustainable growth and responsible stewardship of our natural environment; and

WHEREAS Built Green Canada is a national organization that advocates for sustainable environmental practices in the residential building sector; and

WHEREAS Built Green Canada delivers programs to assist builders in building more sustainably using the latest technologies to create healthier, more efficient and durable homes; and

WHEREAS Strathcona County is dedicated to protecting our natural resources and encourages sustainable development;  

NOW THEREFORE I,Mayor Roxanne Carr, do hereby proclaim June 7, 2017 as “Built Green Day” in Strathcona County.
