Strathcona Community Investment Program

Strathcona Community Investment Program (SCIP) funds are available to support community initiatives or events that benefit Strathcona County and its residents.

Eligibility

To apply, organizations must:

  • be a registered non-profit or a registered society or a group or individuals applying for a project or event
  • and be community based

Deadlines

Applications are reviewed quarterly. Deadlines for 2017 applications are:

  • February 24
  • May 19
  • August 11
  • November 10

Review Process

Applications are reviewed and evaluated by a committee of representatives of Strathcona County departments based on the following criteria:

  1. Number of citizens benefitting
  2. Alignment to strategic goals
  3. Scope of impact
  4. Substantiveness of group
  5. Level of existing funding from Strathcona County
  6. Accessibility
  7. Value

The Chief Commissioner’s office will notify successful applicants.

Reporting

Recipients must follow reporting requirements of policy 
Strathcona Community Investment Program Funds.

Failure to complete the report as stipulated in the policy noted above will prohibit your group from consideration for further Strathcona Community Investment Program funds.
