Update: Water ban timelines

The emergency repairs to the waterline are complete sooner than anticipated, and the reservoirs are now being filled. Strathcona County’s water ban will be lifted by  6 a.m., Saturday, February 27, 2016.

 

Ban announced on non-essential water use

February 26, 2016

Effective immediately, Strathcona County has announced a ban on non-essential water use. The ban applies to residents and businesses in Sherwood Park, Ardrossan, Josephburg, Half Moon Lake, Collingwood Cove, Antler Lake, and Fultonvale. Country residential areas must also reduce their water use. 

 

2015 surplus allocated to facilities, trails, roads and health and safety

Reach Isolated Seniors Everywhere (RISE), is a national campaign that aims to combat loneliness or social isolation that may be experienced by seniors. 

On the weekend of February 21, residents are being asked to brighten the day of a senior in their life - a parent, a friend, a neighbour, a relative.  Ideas include phone calls, meeting for coffee, visiting a recreation facility.
