New tourism identity unveiled for Strathcona County
September 22, 2026
It starts with a visit. It starts with going. Go Strathco.
Strathcona County is proud to announce the official launch of Go Strathco, the bold new tourism marketing identity designed to elevate the region’s visibility, strengthen the visitor economy, and inspire visitors to discover more about the County’s diverse experiences.
Developed as a key action from the Strathcona County Tourism Strategy and Implementation Plan, Go Strathco provides a clear, compelling resource that speaks directly to visitors. Unlike the County’s recognizable municipal brand, which serves residents, Go Strathco is intentionally built for travellers seeking memorable experiences and trip-planning resources.
“This is an exciting moment for the community, businesses, and our tourism partners”, says Sean McRitchie, Director of Corporate Strategy and External Relations. “This identity helps visitors easily find the experiences that make Strathcona County unique, and it also encourages residents to champion our region when hosting friends and family.”
Go Strathco will be used across tourism marketing tools, including the Go Guide, an annual publication featuring businesses and experiences in Strathcona County; social media, such as the Instagram account @GoStrathco; digital campaigns; and the recently announced dedicated tourism website, gostrathco.ca. The identity is designed to be action-oriented, visually engaging, and easy to recognize. Tourism operators are encouraged to use it as a resource when engaging with clients and visitors to help navigate the County’s attractions, itineraries, seasonal highlights, and local businesses.
Strathcona County is currently in year 6 of a ten-year tourism strategy and local entrepreneurs are experiencing the benefits of the County’s enhanced tourism support. An increased profile in the tourism industry is enabling Strathcona County Tourism to be recognized at multiple levels. Sector improvements will continue to grow, helping reach new audiences and visitors.
