UnCharitable movie screening challenges assumptions and beliefs about charities

Strathcona County and the Strathcona Food Bank have partnered to host a free screening of the powerful documentary, UnCharitable, on Tuesday, August 20 at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers. Exploring the downfall of three of the most dynamic and successful U.S. charities, the film challenges the way society thinks about charities and how they can truly change the world.

Following the film’s screening, Kathryn Howden, Board Co-Chair of the Strathcona Food Bank, will lead the audience in an engaging discussion. This event is a great opportunity for non-profit board members, volunteers, staff and those who donate to charity to reconsider what they know about charities and learn a radical new way of giving.

While this event is free, registration is required. Visit strathcona.ca/MovieScreening to learn more and register. Space is limited.
