Celebrate Canada Day in the heart of Strathcona County

Strathcona County’s largest annual festival is back! This year’s Canada Day celebration at Broadmoor Lake Park (Oak Street, Sherwood Park) features indoor and outdoor activities for all ages, as well as live entertainment throughout the day.
The festival kicks off Saturday, July 1 at 9 a.m. with a pancake breakfast and stage show in the Community Centre Agora (located at 401 Festival Lane, Sherwood Park). Activities begin at 10 a.m. at Broadmoor Lake Park; the celebration will end with a firework display at 11 p.m.
Festival fun and activities
This year’s festival is full of fun and exciting activities, including:
- Entertainment headliner, Current Swell – Imperial Stage at 9:45 p.m.
- Just Play area featuring different play zones, including garden, water fun, chalk, science and more
- Field activities, including NEW Dynamo Dogsports demo, inflatables, carnival games, wagon rides and a circus workshop
- Interactive stage performances with Seeka Sings
- Stage performances by exciting local artists
- Activities for all ages including face painting, cabane à sucre, craft zones, free swim times, canoe rides and more
Tickets and wristbands
Most activities are free; however, some require tickets or an Unlimited Access wristband. Wristbands are on sale from June 1 to June 30 for $5.00 at the information desk in Sherwood Park Mall (cash only) and Recreation Administration Office, Ardrossan Recreation Complex, Emerald Hills Leisure Centre, Festival Place, Glen Allan Recreation Complex, Kinsmen Leisure Centre and Millennium Place. Wristbands will not be sold on July 1. Please visit strathcona.ca/CanadaDay for a listing of ticketed activities.
Getting there
Guests are encouraged to use the FREE transit express shuttle that runs every 15 minutes from the Bethel Transit Terminal (650 Bethel Drive, Sherwood Park) to the front of Festival Place, in Broadmoor Lake Park.

This is a family-focused event. RCMP and Enforcement Services will have staff on site to promote a safe and fun event for everyone.
