Celebrate Family Day at County recreation centres and Everybody Gets to Play!

This Family Day, February 20, residents are encouraged to disconnect from technology and connect with their family, friends and community at Strathcona County’s recreation facilities.
This Family Day, February 20, residents are encouraged to disconnect from technology and connect with their family, friends and community at Strathcona County’s recreation facilities.
This year’s family activities also include a winter play day at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre celebrating Canada 150 and what it means to be a Canadian family, sponsored by Air Products, Trina Hodges Realty and Christenson Communities – Bedford Village. Activities include a photo booth, snow painting, s’more making and more.
On Family Day, 100% of admission fees collected at Millennium Place, Ardrossan Recreation Complex, Emerald Hills Leisure Centre, Kinsmen Leisure Centre, Glen Allan Recreation Complex and the Strathcona Wilderness Centre will be allocated to Strathcona County’s Everybody Gets to Play program. Everybody Gets to Play provides Strathcona County residents on a limited income with access to free and subsidized recreation programs.
In addition, $1 from every large pizza sold at any Sherwood Park Panago from February 13 to 20 and $1 from every large pasta sold at Pasta Pantry from February 13 to 18 will be donated to Everybody Gets to Play.
Last Family Day, a total of $19,295 was raised through facility admissions, as well as through Pasta Pantry and Panago sales.
