Celebrate World Snow Day at the Wilderness Centre

Embrace winter at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre, Alberta’s newest Biosphere, on Sunday, January 15. World Snow Day: The Beaver Hills Biosphere BioBlitz is a family-friendly outdoor event with educational activities including meeting an owl, learning from a wildlife biologist, becoming a Citizen Scientist, and celebrating Canada’s 150 anniversary.

The Strathcona Wilderness Centre is located 20 minutes east of Sherwood Park at 52535 Range Road 212. Activities run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

World Snow Day is presented in partnership with the Beaver Hills Initiative, the Wildlife Society (Alberta), Alberta Parks, Nature Kids – Nature Alberta, Solstice Canada and Friends of Elk Island National Park.
