Take a bite out of summer at Savour Strathcona County

Savour Strathcona County will once again fill a summer evening with delicious aromas, intriguing art, and gentle melodies. Now in its fifth year, the showcase brings together the best local and independent restaurants, food trucks, and artisans in Strathcona County.

With an emphasis on locally-sourced produce, all food vendors will feature herbs grown in the County. New to the festival this year, Savour will feature an outdoor main stage with four talented local musicians and bands.

“I encourage residents to come enjoy Savour Strathcona County with family and friends,” says Mayor Roxanne Carr. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for the community to meet our local artists and sample great food.”

The event will be held on Sunday, July 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Agora at the Community Centre, 401 Festival Lane, Sherwood Park.

Activities include:

  • Eleven local restaurateurs and five food trucks
  • Fifteen artists and artisans showcasing their unique wares
  • Outdoor main stage with performances by Jesse and the Dandelions, Eva Foote and the Rosalins, Mark Times & The New Romans, and Ella Coyes.
  • Summer salad demonstrations
  • Children’s crafts and face-painting

“This event is an excellent opportunity for independent restaurateurs to gain additional exposure for their business and to showcase their offerings to an engaged audience,” says Gerry Gabinet, Director of Economic Development and Tourism.

Admission is free for all on-site activities. Taste tickets cost $5 for a set of five. Artwork will be available for sale.
