Council receives Colchester Growth Management Strategy as information and requests comparison matrix for Bremner and Colchester
Council has directed Strathcona County Administration to develop a comparison matrix for the Colchester and Bremner Growth Management Strategies.
After voting to receive the Colchester Growth Management Strategy as information at the February 2, 2016 Council meeting, Council made a motion for Administration to develop a draft matrix for the purpose of comparing Colchester and Bremner.
The matrix will compare the two possible growth areas based on the information outlined in each of the growth management strategies. The draft matrix will go to Priorities Committee on February 16, 2016 and a completed matrix will be brought forward at the March 8, 2016 Priorities Committee for review. The Priorities Committee will then have the opportunity to forward the matrix to Council for approval. At that time, Council will have an opportunity to consider the matrix to inform their decision on how, when and where to grow.
