Pride of Strathcona Awards - Nominate by March 31

Great things are happening in our community. Behind every significant event or achievement are outstanding individuals or groups going above and beyond as volunteers, in professional endeavours, or as individual or team athletes. Nominate them for a Pride of Strathcona Award—the deadline for nominations is March 31, 2016.

“I encourage citizens to take this opportunity to recognize an individual or group making a positive difference in our community,” says Mayor Roxanne Carr. “It is dedicated, talented and caring people who help make Strathcona County one of Canada’s most livable communities. The Pride of Strathcona Awards allow us to pay tribute to these remarkable citizens.”

The Pride of Strathcona Awards recognize outstanding contributions and achievements in the categories: Community Service; Arts, Culture and Heritage; Agricultural Leadership; Professional Achievement; Youth; Service to Seniors, Heroism, Sports and Recreation Development, Athletic Achievement for first-, second- or third-place standing at a national or international competition; and Outstanding Group.

This year’s awards ceremonies will take place on May 27 at Festival Place.
