County seeking men's opinions on healthy relationships

Strathcona County is proud to be part of a community that supports men in developing healthy relationships. As such, the County is partnering with key stakeholders across Alberta to survey men 18 years of age and older about strategies used to experience healthy and positive relationships.

The Alberta Men’s Survey is a multidisciplinary initiative that studies healthy relationships and domestic violence prevention. Data from the Alberta Men's Survey will assist Strathcona County in understanding men’s strengths and challenges when it comes to personal well-being. The survey results, which will remain anonymous, will be used to develop programs and services that best address the unique needs, perspective and strengths of men from diverse backgrounds in Strathcona County.

Adult men across the community are encouraged to complete the short survey online. The Alberta Men’s Survey is open until October 14, 2015. Questions may be directed to Family and Community Services at 780-464-4044.

Set in the centre of Alberta’s energy and agricultural heartland, Strathcona County is a thriving, successful and vibrant community of more than 92,000 residents. Strathcona County is made up of the urban area of Sherwood Park and a large adjacent rural area of farms, acreages and smaller hamlets. It is home to 75 per cent of refining in Western Canada. With a focus on economic, governance, social, cultural and environmental sustainability, Strathcona County is committed to balancing the unique needs of its diverse community.
