Say thanks!

On March 18, join in thanking over 100 Strathcona County Transit bus drivers as part of the International Transit Driver Appreciation Day.

Consider this - for hours on end, Strathcona County Transit drivers manage to keep a schedule, check fares, give directions, announce stops, remember stop requests and more, all while safely maneuvering an extra-large vehicle through unpredictable traffic, adverse weather conditions and some really tight spaces.

On March 18, bus riders are invited to give a card to a bus driver, or drop a card off at the bus station. Cards are available at the Bethel Transit Terminal and Ordze Transit Centre, and online. For more information, call Transit at 780-464-7433.

Set in the centre of Alberta’s energy and agricultural heartland, Strathcona County is a thriving, successful and vibrant community of more than 92,000 residents. Strathcona County is made up of the urban area of Sherwood Park and a large adjacent rural area of farms, acreages and smaller hamlets. It is home to 75 per cent of refining in Western Canada. With a focus on economic, governance, social, cultural and environmental sustainability, Strathcona County is committed to balancing the unique needs of its diverse community.
