What do you have planned for Family Hour?

May 6, 2014

Families are good for mental health, especially when spending time together can result in winning a family games prize package, valued at $100.

Family Hour is being celebrated on May 8 across the province, during Mental Health Week, to focus on the benefits of families spending time together. With today’s children, parents and grandparents experiencing more stress and anxiety than ever before, this mental wellness boost is important for all ages.

Whether it's having fun spending time together or setting aside some time for serious talks, having family to rely on and give support supports overall mental health. On May 8, spend an hour having breakfast, going for a bike ride, playing a game, or watching old home videos – while enjoying the benefits of being together.

County residents are encouraged to share how they spent their Family Hour together. Send the County a message or picture of Family Hour activities for a chance to win the family prize package. The contest closes May 9 at 4:30 p.m.

There are four easy ways to post pics or messages to win:
