CP Holiday Train rolls into Josephburg

Canadian Pacific Railway Holiday Train

On Tuesday, December 9 the CP Holiday Train will pull into Josephburg, stopping at the Moyer Recreation Centre, to raise money and food for local food banks. Decorated for the holidays with thousands of Christmas lights, the festive train will arrive at 5 p.m. A free outdoor music concert featuring Odds and Roxanne Potvin will follow.

Free bus transportation is available from Sherwood Park, with bus tickets available by advance pick up only, while quantities last. Tickets must be picked up at Strathcona County Economic Development and Tourism, located at 2001 Sherwood Drive (County Hall). Buses depart at 4 p.m. from the Bethel Transit Terminal, 650 Bethel Drive.

For those choosing to drive, public parking will be available at a designated area in Josephburg. However, there will be no public parking at the Moyer Recreation Centre. Shuttle buses from the public parking lot will be available for extreme weather conditions. This outdoor event goes from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and participants are encouraged to dress for all weather conditions. Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring a heart healthy donation for local food banks.
